It's been three years in the making, but Tom Ford's debut skincare line is finally heading our way

Tom Ford has already conquered the worlds of fragrance and make-up, giving the beauty world some of its most coveted products. Now, the fashion designer has revealed that he will be launching his own skincare line, Tom Ford Research.

Partnering with Estée Lauder for the project, he promises that Tom Ford Research won’t be your average skincare line but rather one based on science and his own experiences with skincare.

“I wanted to start a serious skincare arm and have it be science-based," Ford told WWD. "This is a real skin-care product and regimen. I’m not a designer who has thrown his name on a beautifully packaged cream.”

Taking a hands-on approach in the development process, Ford spent three years—and 75 trials—working closely with dermatologists to perfect the science behind the line.

The first two products from Tom Ford Research will be the Tom Ford Research Serum Concentrate and Tom Ford Research Crème Concentrate, which were inspired by Ford’s use of tea bags in his skincare regime as recommended by dermatologists. Both products are expected to make its global debut in September. Following this, rhree more products—including an eye cream—will be released in March 2020. Watch this space.
