The collection is inspired by the many facets of the moon, from blood moon to blue moon and supermoons

Going 12 years strong, Thai fashion label Poem releases its latest designs for the fall-winter season, “Tale Of The Luminaries”, an extraordinary 50-piece collection themed on lunar beauty.

According to the creative director, Sean Chavanon Caisiri, the moon is symbolic of a women’s temper, mystery and, of course, breathtaking beauty. Combined with the designer’s own memorable experience of witnessing the rare super blue blood moon--a combination of a blue moon, supermoon and blood moon--earlier this year, a one in 152 year occurence, Sean quickly set out to create an autumn-winter collection themed on various appearances the moon can take.

So what does Poem’s Autumn/Winter 2018 collection “Tale Of The Luminaries” have to offer? For certain, classically feminine silhouettes the label is loved for. Cinched waists, corsets, skirts of full flair and sexy pencil silhouettes--they’re all there in this collection. Amping up for the fall, there are also some trench coat looks and elegant pants and pant-suits.  As for palettes, Poem mostly relies on the beauty of colour or colour gradients inspired by the super blue blood moon. Find blood red to a deep velvety blue, all white, all black, beige and transitionary looks from one set to the next.
