L’oreal Paris And Karl Lagerfeld Are Launching Makeup Together
It’s been just over a week since Karl Lagerfeld’s memorial event took place in Paris. Luxury fashion houses, Chanel and Fendi—both of which he has stood in as creative director for—, came together to stage the “Karl For Ever” ceremony at the Grand Palais.
Shortly after the event, news broke of a collaboration between Lagerfeld’s eponymous fashion house and famed beauty brand, L’Oreal Paris. The forthcoming collection, which was initiated before his death, will exude a Parisian, rock-chic style.

The late designer had an appreciation for the beauty industry, having previously collaborated with Australian beauty company ModelCo and producing a capsule range with beauty giant Sephora. The creative genius was also famous for using eye shadows and lipsticks to hand-colour his design illustrations.

The one-off collection is to hit the internet September 20, with a global release on September 27 during Paris Fashion Week. For now, both parties are keeping product specifics and pricing hush-hush though have promised to fuse L’Oreal’s “scientific dedication and colour expertise” with Karl’s distinctive and classic vision. This makeup line will be one of the very last projects of Karl Lagerfeld's life.
