The London-based boutique brings its line of swimwear to Bangkok

Known for contemporary prints blending varying mediums, such as collages, illustrations and even mixed media and photography, London-based Lisa King is making a special appearance in Bangkok, with a temporary pop-up flagship at Central Chidlom’s Thai Thai zone.

Before launching her own label in 2013, designer Lisa King originally worked with prints and swimwear for top luxury brands—the likes of Armani and Diane Von Furstenberg. Since the unveiling of her swimwear line, her creative approach to prints, contrast and hues has been recognised by publications such as Vogue and Elle, and has been sported by celebrities worldwide.

Having grown up on Thailand’s Railay beach as a child, a lot of Lisa King’s work has been inspired by the colours and lifestyle of her time in Thailand. From today until September 30, the brand returns to its Southeast Asian heritage with a one month pop up. Expect an oasis of lush green, where elegant swimwear are found hanging amongst tropical plants. While the store is a reflection of Krabi, where Lisa first began her venture into the art of swimwear, pieces in the collection are inspired by the Kintamani style house, which her mother once built on Railay Beach. Full of tropical colours, high quality fabric and chic patterns, the collection draws from the laid-back but vibrant lifestyle unique to Thailand’s southern beaches.

Whether you’re planning for a day of sea and sun or prefer hanging out at the infinity pool , Lisa King’s designs provide modern and high quality style for any outdoor bathing occasion. Pieces boast hand-painted prints in bright washes of ink with Thai-inspired embroidery and white linen, and there’s something from everyone, whether you’re in search of a sportier number or a signature long-sleeved Remy swimsuit for those who prefer to stay protected from the sun. Visitors can also browse from a curated selection of plants in whimsical hand-painted pots, straw bags and custom-made beach mats—a brand bestseller.
