Chopard x Giambattista Valli: The Artistic Harmony of Couture
In another spectacle of haute couture and haute joaillarie, the role Chopard undertook at Giambattista Valli Paris Couture Week testifies both house's devotion to artistries.
After a successful collaboration the previous year, the maison Giambattista Valli once again called upon Chopard’s director Caroline Scheufele for their divine creations. Meticulously embodying the stars, the designs were cast from atelier to runway, among which were its ethical gold pieces from the Magical Setting collection.
As an ardent gem-lover Caroline Scheufele alternates between sapphires, white gold and diamonds to embody the 80s spirit of the show. A great volume of sequins, billowy puff sleeves and tulle feature in Giambattista Valli’s creations which are further enhanced by the shimmering jewels.
The couture designs and the jewellery settings recall zealous elements of shoulder pads, shiny dresses, fez-inspired headgears and dramatic accessories that are well-known to the 20th century.
Raindrop earrings arranged in seamless round and pear shapes, set in white gold with diamonds, and another floral pair with blue sapphire eyes create a noticeably regal look.
With another impactful collaboration between skill and artistry, it is plain to see that a future partnership is in the horizon, in an ongoing alliance exalting the precious and heritage crafts known to both masions.
