Charlize Theron Wears Breitling’s Chronomat For Women
One of Hollywood’s most brilliant stars, Charlize Theron recently sported the new Chronomat 36 with a diamond-set bezel at a Breitling webcast. "It's a stunner! The thing that I love about it is the duality of it. It's classic yet modern," the actress and philanthropist said of the timepiece.
Charlize has been chosen by the brand to represent the ladies' Chronomat. She joins Brad Pitt and Adam Driver—who champion the men's version of the watch—as well as American ballerina Misty Copeland and Chinese actress Yao Chen in the star-studded Breitling Cinema Squad.
The ladies Chronomat is a watch for many occasions. Available in an array of metal cases with colourful dials, the design is based on this 1940s watch's revival in the '80s when the signature element of four rider tabs at 12 o'clock, 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock came into existence. Though created for a slender wrist, the women's Chronomat still holds that sturdy spirit, just slightly more delicate and classic.
This year the Rouleaux bracelet was returned. With its retro cylindrical links and butterfly clasp, the bracelet is well-suited to women who live for that extra detail of glam.
The 36mm automatic is powered by the Breitling Caliber 10 with a 42-hour power reserve. Meanwhile, the 32mm features a Superquartz movement with a battery life of three to four years. Wearers have a choice of charming dial colours, from midnight blue and green to copper and white, as well as diamond set versions. Case material choices include 18k red gold, stainless steel or a mixture of both.
