The fashion house launched its Fall 2021 collection in a radically creative way

Breaking boundaries of creativity and industry once again, Balenciaga launched its Fall 2021 collection in video game format. Set in 2031, the game is titled Afterworld: The Age of Tomorrow and presents characters dressed in total looks from the latest collection. Following the unveiling of Balenciaga's SS21 collection, which was in the form of a music video, the game takes digital presentation of fashion to a whole new, interactive level. Accessible and sharable from any smart device, this is the house's most ambitious project yet. 


Presenting fashion-forward gamers an allegorical adventure where nature and industry can regain equilibrium, Afterworld is set in a post-apocalyptic universe. Blending together mythological elements with futuristic punk, you'll see allusions from stories like Alice in Wonderland and The Legend of King Arthur clashing with the avant-garde style of the characters in 2031. The team designed the game's environments and characters with advanced photogrammetry for an in-depth look at the collection, which has been given the name Human Destiny
