It was a Chanel winter wonderland

1/3The Day

March 5th at Le Grand Palais was an occasion to remember as Chanel presented the final collection designed and last runway show directed by the kaiser, Karl Lagerfeld. The theme for the Fall/Winter 2019 show was a glamourous winter ski wonderland. A note with a sketch Karl drew of Coco Chanel and himself with the words “The beat goes on…” was placed on each attendee’s seat.

2/3The Last Show

The last show started with a minute of silence. Everyone who is anyone in the fashion industry was there, and his regular model muses were ready to honour him on the runway. Cara Delevingne and Kaia Gerber wore winter-ready suits and snowball dresses.

3/3A Fashion Hero

Famous celebrities including Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell and  Penélope Cruz also walked the show carrying white roses and wearing snowball dresses with a feathery bubble skirt. During the finale, Heroes by David Bowie played while the models walked and cried in the final walk.
