Art For Refugees Exhibition To Help Over Two Million Refugees
Aiding fellow human beings is a duty beyond religion or culture. With political boundaries arbitrarily drawn, the contemporary world is seeing the serious problem of displaced people. To help alleviate the issue, UNHCR has joined hands with the venerable Vudhijaya Vajiramedhi, a respectable figure in Thai society, to launch the Art For Refugees Exhibition 2. Under the campaign “Nobody Left Outside”, UNHCR aims to raise fund to aid two million refugees in 12 different countries worldwide.
Join tomorrow’s auction event at MOCA Bangkok to contribute to the good cause. Over 30 honourable national artists, including Decha Varachun, Sompob Budtarad and Prateep Kochabua, have created special works of art for the cause. In addition, actors Tanawat Wattanaputi and Jirayu Thantrakul will also feature original art pieces for the auction, and—for fans out there—the latter will be attending the event tomorrow.
The exhibition on the ground floor of MOCA Bangkok commences on August 3 and will last until August 31. For more information, visit unhcr.org.
