Situated in a beautiful 128-year-old listed colonial mansion, The Dining Room is where chef Fatih Tutak presents gastronomical delights that incorporate his Turkish heritage and cooking style.

Choose between the tasting menu called voyage and the longer signature menu called journey. Mezzes is an array of appetisers, amongst them the cilbir egg. Served in its shell, the creamy yolk is given texture and flavour with spinach, onion, potato and chilli oil. Childhood summers presents chilled ameare tomato decorated with parsley and fine frozen goat’s cheese. Plump and juicy, the tomato’s sweetness is given extra dimension with Turkish biber salca. Inspired by his mother’s cooking, Tutak’s signature is manti Turkish dumpling stuffed with vegetables and served with creamy kaymak and mint butter. From the voyage menu, the main dish of kuzu kebab is a reinterpretation of the classic kebab, while from the journey menu the signature sultan’s message is an exquisite dish of anjou pigeon served with antep pistachio, cherries and leek. For dessert, canakkale cheese helva is a rich cheese curd served with goat’s milk ice cream.

The wine list has a decent selection from most Old and New World producing countries. Signature cocktails such as the Bee Bellissimo are also recommended.
