WHY GO? Overlooking the sea on the road between Lamai and Chaweng beaches, The Cliff Bar & Grill has been a destination restaurant on Koh Samui for 15 years. Chef Sergio Martelli combines the flavours of the Mediterranean with his experience in kitchens around the world to bring excellent cuisine to his guests.

WHAT TO ORDER? New tastes and flavours are added to The Cliff menu each year. For 2019, Martelli is introducing exciting combo cuisine using mostly fresh local seafood bought daily from Samui fishermen. The choices include sea bass with calamari and live Atlantic lobster paired with the local catch of the day spiced with either a lemon herb or piquant piri piri sauce. One specialty you don’t want to miss is New Zealand mussels in a creamy white wine sauce. Zarzuela de marisco seafood tower overflows with almost every variety of seafood you can imagine including fresh lobster, tender scallops, mussels, calamari and prawns. The Cliff imports 150-day, grain-fed Australian cuts of beef beautifully prepared and served with button mushrooms, fondant potatoes and a choice of mushroom, garlic, blue cheese, peppercorn or barbecue sauce.

Drinks The bar presents an exciting selection of cocktails including an excellent signature mango daiquiri and passion fruit marguerita. The wine list is strong and covers most of the top producers.
