WHY GO? Tucked away on the second floor of the hotel, the decor is somewhat chic 1920s bistro with contemporary Japanese touches. This daring concept continues through the menu, an innovative mix of premium Japanese products and French cooking techniques.
WHAT TO ORDER? Start your dining experience with a selection of sushi or sashimi of the day, flown in fresh from Japan and elegantly presented. Follow this with king crab miso soup, a memorably concentrated dashi broth containing delicate shards of prized crab meat. Continue with fettuccini pasta with creamy Hokkaido sea urchin topped with French espelette pepper, which perfectly partners the ocean-sweet flesh of the urchin. Meat dishes are also available including a wagyu beef suki, which is ultraexclusive kagoshima beef with distinctive sought-after marbling cooked at the table and accompanied by a traditional egg wash and simple crunchy vegetables. The dessert menu offers a variety of choices to complete your meal. The house signature yuzu tiramisu is a good bet but try the innovative kinako soy bean or matcha ice creams, both absolutely bursting with flavour.
Drinks A comprehensive range of sakes is offered plus an ample wine list chosen with care to match the dishes. A creative cocktail list showcases Japanese twists.
