WHY GO? Joining Tables Grill in 2018, chef Hans Zahner has been building the restaurant’s reputation so that diners can enjoy quality imported meats and meticulously prepared French cuisine in the semiopen area located on the second floor of the Grand Hyatt Erawan hotel.

WHAT TO ORDER? Begin with the chef’s special boudeuse oysters. Served with cold lemongrass jelly, granny smith apple and lemon zest, the menu offers a unique albeit refreshing start to the meal. An alternative is the signature Alaskan royal king crab, where the chef has incorporated elements of the East through the Thai red curry with dried tomato, coriander and galangal emulsion. For the mains, amongst the fish and shellfish options slow-cooked hamachi offers a flavourful experience of contrasts. It comprises pieces of yellowtail paired with a yuzu orange sauce and smoked bok choy and leek to add a crunchy texture that balances the tender fish. Also recommended is roasted Australian M6 wagyu beef tenderloin served with spinach roll, tomato and lemon confit and celery. End with strawberry and yoghurt sphere or opt for the artisan French cheese selection.
