It’s not for the setting, that’s for sure. This humble outdoor restaurant is, however, always packed to its low rafters with diners in the know who drive half an hour out of the city centre to enjoy the great food and casual welcome from the chef/owner.

As the name suggests, this restaurant started up under the concept of one or two dishes being served each day, depending on the freshest and best produce at market each morning. Due to popular demand, a few dishes have become menu staples, though each evening the menu is still written onto a blackboard which then gets taken from table to table. It offers diners a choice of up to five starters, eight mains and a couple of desserts. The mains range from duck to pork and chicken to beef. The presentation is always playful and vibrant and the flavours spot on. You can enjoy a decent selection of pastas, meats, fish and poultry but it is impossible to recommend a particular dish as it likely won’t be on the menu the next night. However, the restaurant is highly recommended as a destination for food lovers to explore the creative cooking of the former executive chef at the Four Seasons Chiang Mai.
