WHY GO? Helmed by award-winning celebrity chef Chumpol Jangprai, R-Haan is dedicated to preserving Thailand’s rich cultural heritage through the practice of ageold Thai culinary traditions. This is reflected in the restaurant’s samrub set menus created with the finest seasonal ingredients.

WHAT TO ORDER? A small platter of amuse bouche kicks of the culinary journey, with steamed Thai rice stuffed with Mae Klong mackerel and Thai herbs and topped with caviar from the Royal Project that is particularly satisfying. The chef’s famous organic tiger prawns from Chanthaburi are served with Thai herbs and tanee banana blossoms to great effect. The sauce, made from prawn heads, completes the dish. The main course offers a variety of choices but southern Thai yellow curry with blue crab meat is highly recommended. True to its southern roots, the dish combines a burst of flavours and aroma and is heavy on spiciness. Tom yum soup is presented beautifully here in a syphon heated tableside. Other highlights include deep-fried sea bass with green pepper and a dish of aromatic Thai anchovies and shrimps in a coconut stew. Look no further than mango and sticky rice to wrap up the meal.

Drinks A meticulously curated wine list offers a wide choice from Old and New World producers. Thai wines are also available, as are wine pairings on request.
