WHY GO? The Pru name comes from "plant, raise, understand" and chef Jim Ophorst sources the best Phuket and nearby provinces have by way of sustainably produced ingredients. Organically grown vegetables, herbs and flowers also come from the Pru Jampa kitchen garden while seafood is sourced from Phangnga and Krabi.

WHAT TO ORDER? The offerings have been expanded along with the restaurant's seating capacity and ambience. Three degustation menus—one of seven courses, the other of five and one fully vegetarian—come with optional premium wine pairings. Pru’s culinary style is based on traditional Western dishes that are subtly influenced by exotic regional produce. The terroir-driven cuisine is a sequence of unique taste experiences. The Pru Experience menu starring Phuket lobster and cashew nuts offers a delicate tropical combination of herbs and balanced flavours. Also excellent is the signature pickled duck egg with burnt eggplant, wild herbs and Phuket abalone. The Surat Thani-sourced river prawn is combined with an XO sauce made from local seafood. The all-Thai cheese trolley completes the dining experience.

Drinks The wine-pairing menus are a well-balanced and thoughtful selection of world wines, supporting each of the cuisine's exotic flavours. There is an extensive wine cellar with multiple wines by the glass from key wine districts of the world.
