WHY GO? Located right on the beach, Namu’s perspective is spectacular. Choose to sit either in an intimate interior dining area or outdoors at a beach table. Both are fabulous viewpoints for enjoying subtly flavoured Japanese cuisine that includes some unique dishes.

WHAT TO ORDER? Start with the crispy shrimp tempura with your cocktail on the beach. Then move inside to the bar to watch sushi and sashimi being prepared—all of the fish is imported from Japan. From so many choices a tasty and refined starter is crab salad with caviar topping. Highly recommended is a dish of scallops topped with bacon bits, XO brandy and vanilla flavouring. Another great offering is a signature dish of wagyu beef gyoza with black truffle teriyaki sauce. Both the scallops and gyoza are served four to a dish and are quite delicate in flavour. Japanese diners will appreciate toban yaki: choose from a variety of wagyu beef in soup bowls with sake flavouring. A signature dish of lobster udon with spicy jalapeno sauce is very succulent. To finish, try pumpkin tart with dark chocolate and homemade ginger-date ice cream.

Drinks Start with a refreshing cocktail such as a Thai mint julep. From a vast choice of wines a fruity favourite is the complex Pewsey Vale riesling. A good selection is available by the glass.
