WHY GO? It is fun, it is experimental, it is casual and with a menu the size of a tome, it covers a vast numbour of cuisines and regional varieties.

WHAT TO ORDER? One could likely spend an hour going through the massive menu, though accompanying photos and tips as to levels of heat and popular choices help. It is best to come in a group and order many dishes to truly get an idea of what this restaurant can do. From simple home-grown dishes to fancy international techniques and presentations, Mix is always trying new things—most of which hit the mark. Popular dishes include smoked duck salad with lemongrass relish, princess bean salad and wagyu miso beef grilled takeyama style on imported leaves. The restaurant has also been upping its game with its dessert menu, its pastry chef having spent the past year taking many courses in Europe. One of the highlighted sweet dishes is apple tatin, a medley of mascarpone mousse with apple served with caramel apple compote, caramelised millefeuille, speculoos and vanilla ice cream.

Drinks The wine list is excellent and extensive in reach and price. There is also a bewilderingly large cocktail menu covering old classics and fabulous new inventions.
