WHY GO? With views across manicured lawns towards the Chao Praya River, this classically furnished restaurant located in the Peninsula Hotel delivers a Cantonese fine dining experience. Truly exceptional dim sum is served by attentive, knowledgeable staff.
WHAT TO ORDER? Begin with a selection from the signature dim sum menu. Regardless of filling, all are meticulously formed, stuffed with superior produce and perfectly seasoned. The crystal prawn dumplings, barbecued pork puffs and crispy shrimp-filled rice rolls are all worth savouring. Follow these with a soup such as the traditional comforting hot and sour or alternatively a daily changing home-style broth. A further dish of note is the house specialty of crispy snow fish fillets, deep-fried till golden on the outside, whilst skillfully managing to maintain the moist texture of the flesh contained within. Beef is offered in a number of preparations; the less common cut of rolled brisket, braised with crunchy turnip and served in a beef soup is both tender and flavoursome. Desserts do not disappoint, be it sesame dumplings in an elegant ginger tea or a simple yet satisfying black sesame ice cream.
Drinks An extensive wine list is offered including a comprehensive Thai selection and an intriguing range by the glass. There is also a wide choice of Chinese and locally sourced organic teas.
