Lunchtime visitors can enjoy a good selection of dim sum for starters. Filled with plump, fresh prawns, har kao is moreish, while crabstick cheung fan’s crispy filling is wrapped with soft thin rice noodles. For the main course, dong po pork belly is stewed in dark soy sauce until the fatty layers reach a melt-in-the-mouth consistency. Served with steamed and fried manto, the soft, fresh buns help to cut through the rich flavour of the pork belly. Another option is roasted peking duck, available as a whole duck or a smaller portion of 10 pieces. The thin and crispy skin is served the traditional way with the meat still attached. The accompanying pancakes err on the thicker side, while the hoisin sauce is sweet and flavourful. End with a traditional dessert of mango pudding.

While Liu offers a variety of liquor and alcohol based beverages, a more notable choice is the selection of fine premium Chinese teas. A reasonable wine list, including champagnes and sparkling wine, is also available.
