WHY GO? Serving authentic Cantonese in a modern and elegant setting, Lin-Fa is a popular lunch spot known for its dim sum, with special buffet offerings on weekdays.
WHAT TO ORDER? The dim sum menu is particularly scrumptious, limited to only lunch services and a buffet option available for weekend lunches. The a la carte menu, available daily, features an expansive selection of appetisers and main courses. Start with deep-fried silver fish coated in a crispy, fluffy batter and sprinkled with garlic, or begin with the signature pan-fried prawns served in a cream sauce. To complement the bite of the prawns, try monk jumps over the wall, a soup-like herbal broth featuring abalone, bamboo pith, sun-dried scallops and fresh fish maw. A thicker alternative is bird’s nest and crab meat soup, which comes with generous chunks of crab meat. Peking duck is also highly recommended, expertly carved and the skin served with pancakes while the meat comes according to preference—in a soup, as a stir-fry or more. Another good main course is tender bamboo fish, steamed and served in soy sauce. End with chinese dates in wok-fried pancakes for a sweet and savoury finish.
Drinks A limited drink list features aromatic Chinese teas, coffees and a small selection of wines including reds, whites and sparkling.
