WHY GO? Located in a rather glitzy retail complex, this branch of the popular Chinese restaurant chain maintains its well-earned reputation for high quality dim sum. A modern interior affords quite spectacular views over the Chao Phraya River.
WHAT TO ORDER? Whilst there is an extensive a la carte menu on offer, most diners invariably begin with a selection of the signature dim sum which is always exceptionally consistent and a leading reason for visiting the restaurant. Be it prawn dumplings, barbecue pork buns or crispy pork, they all significantly exceed expectations. Whilst far from Cantonese authentic, a house signature of fried crispy shrimp rolls with Italian truffle impresses. Soups are comforting and sichuan soup has a perfect hot and sour balance. There are also multiple choices of premium seafood, crab, lobster, prawns and scallops, all highly recommended, and a wide range of live fish, which are excellent for sharing. The dessert offerings are also comprehensive with the tempting black sesame dumplings, goji berry jelly and, of course, the classic golden creamy salted egg buns. All are worth a try.
Drinks A short but adequate drink list includes freshly squeezed juices, Chinese herbal and flower teas, beers and some wines.
