WHY GO? Award-winning Elements serves set menus of sophisticated French cuisine with Japanese influences created by chef Hans Zahner. The dishes change quarterly according to seasonal ingredients. A fine ambience and very good service.

WHAT TO ORDER? Offered are two set menus: Ta-ke with six courses and Matsu with seven. Four delicate amuse bouche begin the repast followed by four well-executed starters including red carabineros prawn in orange foam with fennel and pickles and Norwegian cod in lofoten sauce with avocado wasabi and japanese mustard spinach. Signature dish kaviari krystal caviar is decorated with gold leaf and rests delicately on a plump Utah beach oyster that is covered in cucumber glaze. The seafood taste is balanced wonderfully with pickled daikon cubes and ponzu zest. Another signature, yasai, is a light combination of vegetables with carrot sauce and consome jelly. For a main course satsuma wagyu beef is perfectly tender while glazed pigeon is served with miso, parsnip and cabbage pickles. Finish with the delightful dessert of Japanese pebbles made with glazed iced musk melon, blackcurrant and chocolate cremeaux.

Drinks An excellent selection of premium sakes, champagnes and wines from both New and Old World regions, but do try the recommended beverage pairing with your meal.
