Cocotte

French   |   Bugis

Cocotte is a very cosy restaurant, and it doesn’t sit more than 80 or so. The dining style here is communal, but it also has small tables for more intimate dinner dates. The place looks and feels French and even has romantic nooks complete with candle lights for that romantic feel.

Very small menu but they do everything well. The poulêt roti is aptly tagged a star item as it’s juicy and well marinated. The mashed potatoes, creamy and delicious, are a good counterpart to the chicken; and so is the very generous portion of vegetables. The steak is as good as it looks, while the pear and bleu d'Auvergne salad is fantastic. The chicken liver mousse is quite tasty and comes with unlimited bread. The grilled veal tongue salad is top notch and beautifully served.

Good wine service and knowledge. There are also extensive choices, so you won’t have a hard time choosing the right wine to complete your meal.

The service is fantastic with the wait staff always on hand to get your orders, top up your glasses and entertain other requests.

Meal is reasonably priced at $80 per person, given the generous servings. The dishes are more than enough for two, making the place a good options for group dining.
