WHY GO? Perfect dim sum and a lavish menu will delight, soothe and entertain all at once. The restaurant’s cosy, well-lit, subdued ambience enables diners to concentrate on the food. Plenty of chances to experiment with dishes you’ve never tried before.
WHAT TO ORDER? This is award-winning chef Wai Yin Man's original restaurant. Start with the dumplings, the three-piece set of steamed chao zhou fen-go is equally delicious as the triptych of steamed spinach dumplings. The dim sum list is long but not be missed is the signature steamed salted egg yolk cream buns, a combination of sweet and salty. Braised pork belly with preserved vegetables is a stunning, meaty delight, slightly sweet and incredibly soft. Among a seemingly humble list of side order vegetables choose hong kong kale, and from the list of condiments, match it with garlic sauce. Or go for other veggies, including pea sprout and spinach prepared with a choice of abalone sauce or stir-fried ginger sauce, both of which have perky flavours. Steamed pork spare ribs in XO sauce are bite-sized, boneless and seriously good, as is the popular signature peking duck, which is expertly served by skillful and attentive waiting staff.
Drinks Aperitifs, spirits, Chinese rice wine and several other choices complement a modest selection of international white and red wines, including some by the glass.
