WHY GO? Sophisticated decor, high ceilings and fantastic views of the twinkling lights of Bangkok at night are the backdrop for fine dining on the 25th floor of Hotel Indigo. A considered menu of finely prepared grilled offerings from land and sea is served by an effcient and friendly staff.

WHAT TO ORDER? A good beginning is Alaskan king crab with brown butter aioli and seaweed toast. It has a firm bite and a zesty lingering aftertaste. Another option is to share a cold cuts board of cured meats, pate, pickles and toasted sourdough bread. For mains, try the fire-roasted whole pigeon with duck liver creme caramel and pumpkin. Sweet and savoury, it is a decadent, moreish dish. Alternatively try the Darling Downs wagyu tenderloin, which arrives cooked to a tender blush with veal tail potatoes and a rich bone marrow jus. Another recommended dish for carnivores is rack of lamb roasted with herbs and served with jerusalem artichoke and grilled lettuce. A less filling option though is lightly smoked Canadian black cod with roasted cabbage, onion and capers. End on a spectacular note with a portion of the tart and sweet signature New York cheesecake with red fruits.

Drinks A decent list of red and white wines from Old and New World producers, some available by the glass. Toothsome cocktails are also available.
