WHY GO? One of the longest-lived fine dining restaurants in Pattaya, Casa Pascal offers a warm welcome from the owners who keep their menu ticking over with new dishes and variations on popular old ones. The range of the food is enormous and the price is very reasonable.
WHAT TO ORDER? There are large menus so take your time over a pre-dinner aperitif and tasters from the kitchen. Whilst the focus is on using fresh local produce as much as possible, imported treats like fresh Canadian lobster, French oysters, Australian beef, Atlantic dover sole and fresh trout are all available. Smoked salmon comes in a generous helping and is a good way to get the taste buds going. Soups are served with excellent, fresh crusty bread and homemade butter, french onion soup being a standout. Caesar salad is a bounty of fresh leaves with a dressing of lemon, olive oil, dijon mustard, parmesan cheese and, for the connoiseur, a salty anchovy. A main attraction is lamb rack a la provence oven-roasted to perfection and dressed in a stimulating array of herbs. Dover sole poached in a white sauce served with boiled potatoes and fresh vegetables is also beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. Finish with a light crepe suzette served with vanilla ice cream.
Drinks An extensive wine list covers all major producing regions. Plenty of spirits, liqueurs, whiskies and beers to choose from too.
