If Indian is your preferred cuisine, then this is the place to go. Although the menu is fusion in style, the tastes are authentic and rich. Starting off as a small restaurant in a cabin, Accha has expanded to a larger building on the Nimmanhaemin strip and now offers a relaxed casual dining experience.

Rating : 14/20

Starters and mains merge into one and the menu is separated by protein with chicken, fish, prawns and mutton all on the menu. There is also a comprehensive vegetarian and vegan selection and the restaurant is Jain friendly. Chana masala is a great choice and the chickpeas are as soft as they are rich, clearly stewed for hours to soak up the rich spices common to Indian cuisine. If a chilli buzz is your thing then try lamb vindaloo, a rich and hot curry that pairs perfectly with the freshly cooked garlic naan bread. A side of tandoori grilled meats is also a must, with a choice of creamy or tandoori-style marinades.

Wine is not this restaurant’s forte with a rather poor selection. However, you are welcome to bring your own for a token corkage charge. Most diners simply settle for some hot chai or a cooling lassi.
