Yang Huiyan retains her spot as Asia’s richest woman. See who else topped the Forbes’ World’s Billionaires list this year

This year, 327 women are among the 2,668 billionaires on Forbes’ World’s Billionaires list. That’s one person short from last year’s female billionaires. The combined fortune of these women is US$1.56 trillion— a slight increase from last year.

1. Yang Huiyan & family

The richest woman in Asia is once again Yang Huiyan. Last year, she was the seventh richest woman in the world. Yang owns a 57 per cent stake in the real estate development firm Country Garden Holding, transferred by her father Yeung Kwok Keung in 2007.

Kwong is the widow of Kwok Tak-seng, the co-founder of Sung Hung Kai Properties, the largest property developer in the city. Kwong served as the chairman from 2008 to 2011 and remains the biggest shareholder in the real estate conglomerate.
