Called “the craziest sane hotel designer in the world” by Vanity Fair, Harvard graduate Bill Bensley is an architect, interior designer and landscape architect. Relocating to Asia in the 1980s, he established Bensley Design Studios. His revolutionary designs include Rosewood Luang Prabang (#1 in Asia by Conde Nast Traveller), Capella Ubud in Bali (world’s #1 by Travel & Leisure) and Cambodia’s Shinta Mani Wild in the Cardamon National Park. Inducted into the Platinum Circle Hall of Fame of Hospitality Design in New York, he also received Architectural Digest’s AD100 award and most recently the 2020 IDCS Interior Designer of the Year award.
