Pimdao Sukhahuta

Founder and Creative Director, Sretsis

Fascinated with clothes, especially after making a prom dress for her sister, Pimdao Sukhahuta fulfilled her dreams when she founded Sretsis (sisters backwards) with her Klyduan and Matina in 2002. In 2003, she graduated from Parsons School of Design. They opened a store and exhibited two collections, quickly becoming one of Thailand’s leading fashion brands, with Kly handling operations, Pim handing creative directoral duties, and Matina designing jewellery. In 2005, they opened shoowrooms in America, Australia and Japan. In 2014, they established the brand’s flagship store in Tokyo. The founders have long believed the existence of the extraordinary in everyday, and have showcased this in their autumn/winter 2018 collection – Magic Hour – in reference to Golden hour, which they represented through metallic rose brocade. Pimdao is determined to see Thailand recognised in the international market for its design values, creativity and unique craftsmanship. As such, Sretsis is no longer just a fashion brand; they have opened a parlor in a posh shopping mall in central Bangkok. At the vintage tearoom and café, a collaboration with UK’s House of Hackney, the furnishing is for sale. After a whirlwind romance, she recently married Pierre-Alexandre Darbois in August 2017.
