The blonde-haired blue-eyed Thai Caroline Link, is also a “polo-playing daughter of a titled princess of Liechtenstein”. With a Bachelor’s in business administration from the European Business School (Madrid), she has been president of Thai-based international enterprise B Grimm for nearly 10 years. The 140-year-old conglomerate – instrumental in ushering Thailand into the modern age – is active in multiple sectors including energy, healthcare, and transport. To familiarize herself with the vast portfolio, she has completed several apprenticeships, including two years with pharmaceutical company Merck (Hong Kong). Under her leadership, the organization launched B Grimm Power, expanded to new countries, and partnered with businesses in renewable energy. She attributes her success to the combination of German professionalism with Thai creativity. Caroline has high hopes for the future, whether developing human resource and corporate culture, or breaking into new sectors, particularly education. In 2011, they established a two-year diploma problem that combines vocational training with a professional degree. Additionally, she hopes to increase the impact of B Grimm’s already-high social engagement activities.
