Taking powerlifting to the next level
Kenneth Kaden Chin unexpectedly found his passion for powerlifting in 2017 and has since become a national champion. Initially a casual gym-goer, Chin joined a local competition out of curiosity and discovered his potential for success in the sport. Recognising the limited awareness and talent pool for powerlifting in Malaysia, he saw an opportunity to be an early adopter.
Now the deputy president of the Malaysian Association for Powerlifting, he looks to promote diversity in the sport and help athletes through various initiatives in order to develop the industry. Despite the present challenges, Chin aspires to represent Malaysia and win a medal at the global stage. Find out how he pushes the envelope and what fuels him to do better.
