The term “manifesting” is all over TikTok. But does it actually work? This life coach says yes. Here's why...
Every day someone tells me they want something. They want to be happier, lose weight, have mental clarity, or even want the courage to start their own business. Granted, we all want something, it's what keeps us motivated and moving forward. As children, we practice wanting when we squeeze our eyes shut to blow out candles on our birthday cake. Alternatively, we pray to a higher power pleading for divine intervention to help us get what we want. I recently came across an individual who displayed such a deep desire for all things she wanted to achieve, it had been years of wanting and dreaming. Yet, at this junction, she had achieved none of them.
As a life coach, I noticed that sinking disconnect between wanting things, but ultimately not having the motivation, and intentional effort to propel forward. Should we ask not what we want, but how badly we want it?

Figure Out What You Want
With busy, full schedules, we don't make time to identify what's important to us, to determine what we want from our lives. Creating goals can be tedious, but when we have the mental clarity to visualize our future, it crystalises the steps we need to take today.
Take time to write down what you want to achieve, what feels good, and what you need to live with meaning and purpose. It's easy to get caught up in the moment, work, children, and other distractions limiting you from seeing this incredible future and accomplishing all you desire. What would life look like if you achieved your hopes and dreams? Visualising literally makes us feel good, we get a rush that can propel us forward. I encourage you to practice this, even doing this as a family or with your friends or partner.
