Start making plans early as race weekend is filled with fun events, parties and concerts which you will not want to miss

The Singapore Grand Prix returns to the Marina Bay Circuit Park from September 15 to 17 and there’s much to be excited about. While this year’s track length has shortened to 4.928 km, due to redevelopment works at The Float at Marina Bay, it doesn’t make the race any less exciting.

Beyond the exhilarating race, the weekend is also packed with adrenaline-filled activities from F1-inspired menus to post-race parties. Whether you are a car enthusiast or looking for something fun to do, here are some of the best places to be at for the weekend.

1. Book a staycation at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore

If you rather watch the race without the loud noises, why not book a room at one of the many hotels located around the Singapore circuit? A selection of hotels are available to choose from, including The Fullerton Hotel Singapore. The party doesn’t stop once the cars cross the finish line—head to Amber Lounge after the race and celebrate Grand Prix weekend with its glamorous post-F1 party. Returning bigger than ever, the evening will see an exciting line-up of international artists such as Lil Jon, The Stickmen Project, Fatman Scoop and more.

3. Catch the roving Singapore GP Truck

The Singapore GP truck is back this year, making pit stops at various neighbourhoods around the island. Put your driving skills to the test as the truck offers a slew of activities and race-themed games, including a race simulator. From now until race weekend, the Singapore GP Truck will make stops at Canberra Plaza, Buangkok Square, Plaza Singapura and Sentosa Palawan Green.

4. Admire a Scuderia Ferrari SF90

Car enthusiasts will get the chance to view the Scuderia Ferrari (SF90) up close as Marina Bay Sands will be showcasing a stunning replica of this iconic car from September 11 to 18. In partnership with Scuderia Ferrari, head down to the hotel lobby to get a closer look at the car that raced in the Formula 1 World Championship in 2019. In celebration of the sporting event, Marina Bay Sands’s iconic facade will also light up in Ferrari’s vibrant red hue from September 14 to 17.

5. Enjoy an F1-themed meal at Lavo

Don’t forget to fuel up before a night of partying. This weekend sees a host of restaurants and bars curating Formula 1-exclusive menus and cocktails. Lavo, for one, is holding a party brunch on September 16 featuring fragrant black truffle pizzas, handmade pastas and indulgent F1-inspired desserts.

6. Catch an upcycled art exhibition at The Arts House

Head to The Arts House this race weekend as 10 artists and art institutions have come together to epicycle floodlights that once illuminated the Singapore Grand Prix street circuit. This year, floodlights along the Singapore circuit have been replaced by environmentally-friendly LED track lights. The former floodlights have been given new life, upcycled into multiple unique pieces.

7. F1 Pit Lane experience

If you manage to get tickets for the highly-anticipated Pit Lane experience, head down on September 14 to experience the F1 Village before the official opening of the Circuit Park. Walk down the Singapore pit lane as you get close to the Formula 1 team garages.
