Nordic Joys At The St Regis


The St Regis Bangkok will be serving up Nordic delights between November 4-11. Making a guest appearance during Scandinavian Week will be Thai-born Swedish chef Sayan Isaksson, previously of Michelin-starred Esperanto in Stockholm. Chef Sayan will present an array of Scandinavian inspired dishes infused with Asian influences for Sunday brunches on November 4 and 11 at VIU. Guests will also have the chance to experience a full eight-course degustation menu and a three-course set lunch at Jojo restaurant from November 5-10. Culinary Heights At The Banyan Tree


Banyan Tree Bangkok welcomes European culinary star chef Rolf Fliegauf to Vertigo rooftop restaurant for two special nights of dining. Switzerland’s most decorated chef and Europe’s youngest Michelin star recipient, Fliegauf is best known as the founder of the prestigious Ecco Ascona and St Moritz restaurants in Switzerland. Showcasing his exceptional kitchen skills, Fliegauf will offer a diverse and sumptuous menu that includes dishes such as marinated raw tuna with cucumber, wasabi and yuzu, tandoori-flavoured Maine lobster with radish and citrus and Wagyu beef tenderloin with eggplant, onion and Japanese vinaigrette. The degustation menu is available on November 17 - 18, with the four-course menu starting at 4,999++ baht and 6,900++ baht for wine pairing.

Sound Garden


The Courtyard, the outdoor garden of The House on Sathorn, is bringing back live entertainment. Reintroducing The House of Music, the live performance series will feature four talented up-and-coming artists performing Wednesday through Saturday. Each evening is dedicated to a single musical genre and will cover classical, soul, R&B and jazz. Will Corbin will enchant the audience with vintage covers and classics on Wednesdays. On Thursdays through to the weekend performers include soul & R&B vocalist Gavin Adrian Koch, Butterfingers acoustic group and upbeat jazz favourites by singer Lookkaew and her band. Performances run from 7 - 11pm until April 2019.

With Karmakamet Conveyance, the dishes are inspired by the notion of heritage and aim to evoke a recollection of places and times in the diner’s life. The seven-course menu is priced at 2,500++ baht with an additional 1,800++ baht for wine pairing.


Wise Choice


Chim by Siam Wisdom has introduced new signature dishes for the last quarter of 2018. The Wisdom of Thai-Isan offerings created by chef Thaninthorn Chantrawan are inspired by his travels to the northeast of Thailand and comprise Benja chicken, a premium chicken fed with whole-grain rice to produce more succulent meat. Combining Isan ingredients with traditional Thai cooking techniques, the dishes include Benja chicken ballotine with chicken jelly, Benja chicken in coconut soup with young tamarind leaves and smoked Benja chicken thigh with Isan-style jaew sauce served with steamed jasmine rice and smoked Sam Phran coconut water.
