Flexform's Romeo Sofa Is The Latest Must-Have For Your Luxury Pad
There is plenty of beautiful and comfortable furniture out there, but the most discerned homemakers are now looking for more beyond. An Italian industrial enterprise with over 50 years of experience, Flexform makes furniture that transcends the bounds of time and fashion—authentic distillations of form and function. To achieve the very best mode of production, the brand has only one production plant in Meda in northern Italy, championing that 'Made in Italy' identity and a Mediterranean aesthetic and lifestyle.
Specialising in sofas, Flexform boasts a long history with celebrated designers contributing to its fame. Back in 1969, Joe Colombo designed the iconic Tube Chair, while in the 70s the brand's signature Maxi Chair was created by Cini Boeri. Today, Antonio Citterio heads the house. Born in Meda, Citterio’s career flourished since 1987 when he partnered with Terry Dawn and designed buildings in Europe and Japan. In 2008, he was named an honourary “Royal Designer for Industry” by the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce, and today he is designing the iconic Romeo sofa for Flexform.
The latest sofa under the Indoor collection attests the label’s artisanal expertise with delicate lines, proportions and details. Tapered cast aluminium feet and the subtle grosgrain piping that outlines the stitching contributes to the aesthetically balanced shapes. In terms of quality and comfort, Citterio’s Romeo sofa is designed ergonomically with the perfect inclination and is generously filled with sterilised goose down. The seating system is also versatile as any materials can be confidently customised onto the sofa to express your personality and style.
