Recap: Esperienza Ferrari Thailand 2019
Not many brands can elicit the same excitement the name “Ferrari” does from sports car enthusiasts. To start the year off bold, Cavallino Motors Co Ltd, Ferrari’s sole importer in Thailand, hosted its annual Esperienza Ferrari Thailand on January 24-25, inviting loyal clients to experience a highly exclusive Ferrari test drive and training event at Phothalai Leisure Park.
This year, VIP guests of Ferrari Thailand were treated to the Ferrari Portofino and Ferrari GTC4Lusso T models for test driving. The Portofino is the latest GT convertible model that boasts an engine of 600 cv that can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. Named after one of Italy's most charming cities, the Portofino's retractable hardtop and two rear seats make the model suitable for short trips where one can fully bask in the beauty of the surroundings.
The alternative ride, the Ferrari GTC4Lusso, is a four-seater ideal for day-to-day driving with superb comfort and versatility. The model is equipped with both rear-wheel-only drive and four-wheel steering for different terrain types and has the maximum power output is 610 cv at 7,500 rpm.
The two-day experience also included a special training led by two Italian professional racing drivers—Marco Bonanomi and Marcello Puglisi. The two racers have tremendous experience in international race car championships, including the FIa World Endurance Championship and GP2 World Championship. During the training sessions, points such as choosing the best driving mode for the road condition and appropriate driving speeds for engine safety were imparted.
