Editor's Picks: Spring/Summer 2020 Collections By Thai Designers You Can Order Online Now
If you've got true style, then you're not letting the closure of department stores or postponement of fashion events keep you from being chic. As spring and summer 2020 fashion rolls on regardless of COVID-19, we've gathered a few of our favourite Thai designers' collections that can be easily ordered online, so that you can stay in and in style.
Vickteerut's point of view for spring and summer is one of no frills, no sunny colours, no floral prints or any prints for that matter. A Vickteerut spring and summer is predominantly black and white and looks exactly like what a Wednesday Addams would opt for the warmer seasons. The collection, called "Theory of Unraveled Grotesqueness", is inspired by American Gothic literature, particularly Southern American Gothic—think Puritanism, Faulkner and just a little bit of witchcraft. Indeed, two things scream out to you when you look at the collection: pilgrims and witches. Creative director Ornprapan Suthinoraseth keeps it from looking costumey, however, with subtle sex appeal, clean lines and minimal silhouettes.
As a brand which is also identified by clean lines, tailoring and minimal use of colours, ASV provides another chic and upscale iteration of spring and summer, this one inspired by the costume designs of two classic films, Death in Venice (1971) and The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999). Traditional menswear patterns, such as double-breasted blazers, jumpsuits, trenchcoats and tuxedo shirts, are reimagined for the modern woman but also matched with feminine pieces like tiered tulle dresses and skirts.
3/4 La Boutique
La Boutique enters the fashion of monograms this season, amongst other trends. The spring/summer 2020 collection "Rebel Without a Cause" draws from the attitude of the 1955 American film, presenting it in a wide variety of ready-to-wear looks to ensure that every type of woman can be a rebel this spring and summer. The spectrum ranges from H-to-T bold monogram print looks to the more deceptively devilish see-through lace dresses. My favourite of the looks, however, is somewhere in between the two with denim. Afterall, what's more James Dean than blue jeans.

Staying true to the brand's DNA of vintage girly charms, "Siamese Sisterhood" is about the Sretsis sisters' childhood adventures in the great outdoors and is highly reminiscent of Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom in terms of visual aesthetics. Find once again fun, frilly and colourful vintage styled dresses in a Sretsis' collection but take note of new motifs such as sunflowers, trenchcoats, jumpsuits and the vintage loungewear which are an entire mood for #isolatingfabulously.
