Aman ventures into Hokkaido, Japan’s untamed wilderness with an all-season spa and wellness resort
Following the recent and successful debut of Aman Kyoto, Aman has announced the launch of its fourth property in Japan, Aman Niseko. Set on the high slopes of Mt. Moiwa overlooking the legendary Mount Yotei, Aman Niseko, an all-season resort, is set to open in Hokkaido’s Niseko region in 2023.
Designed by Kerry Hill Architects, the same company responsible for the design of Aman’s other Japan properties: Aman Kyoto, Amanemu and Aman Tokyo, the linear design of the resort is inspired by its natural surroundings and Japan’s ryokan (traditional Inn), incorporating wooden accents throughout the interiors to provide warmth and a sense of nature.
