Social media can be the perfect place for negativity to  thrive. Many studies have concluded that spending a significant time on Instagram or Facebook can lead to a depressing state of mind, specially for girls as we tend to compare ourselves to people we follow. That said, social media is also a great tool for people to actively spread positivity through photography, poetry and other forms of creativity.

To commemorate this year's Women’s Day today, we’ve gathered our favourite IG accounts that promote female empowerment, positivity and confidence—and you can't put a price on that.

Based in Cancun, this Mexican illustrator shares fresh minimalist drawings of women and nature. Her account (fully bilingual in English and Spanish) stands out by the mixture of colours and human diversity.
