Azrul Rahim is revolutionising domestic help. His app Maideasy allows Malaysians to hire cleaners whenever they need them, dispensing with the need for live in maids, and provides self-employed cleaners with training and employment opportunities. Here, he describes his work in his own words.

Lately, it’s my daughter who inspires me. Having a child reminds you of your own mortality, the importance of fighting for what’s right and trying to fix the world, which we can all agree is in quite a mess.
Overcoming challenges is about breaking them into smaller, easier challenges. If you constantly think of big challenges, you will feel overwhelmed to the point that it can paralyse you. Whenever I feel a challenge is too big, I just focus on what can I do today to turn it into a great day.
