What’s more Kuvinichkul has also been involved in helping Grab develop various offshoots, such as motorbike-hailing service GrabBike.

Why him? Jinda-Apiraksa founded TakeMeTour, Thailand’s largest marketplace for cultural tours, in 2013.

The biz TakeMeTour aims to distribute wealth among rural communities by employing locals who have grown up in the places visited rather than professional guides.

Back story The 28-year-old entrepreneur used to be a professional magician.

Why him? Silpsrikul’s startup, Page365, plugs into Facebook stores to analyse comments and group them into a central dashboard where sellers can monitor their customers’ behaviour, requests and purchases.

What’s more The 27-year-old gives out his private number to one of his 9,000 clients every month so they can call him to talk about anything they’d like. Now that’s stellar customer service.

Why her? Orami, the e-commerce and media site Gen.T lister Kalayanamitr founded for and by women in Thailand and Indonesia, aims to create a female-centred ecosystem by connecting women both online and offline. The platform works closely with groups such as Lean In and UN Women, and is active in talks for women’s advocacy across the region.

Back story Kalayanamitr used to be a gymnast, and was a contender for the Southeast Asian Games in 1990. Impressively, the 38-year-old can still do the splits.
