On June 21, we revealed the 40 Hong Kong honourees on the Gen.T List 2019 at an unveiling event at Rosewood Hong Kong.
The evening began with a private dinner for the 2019 honourees and members of The Tatler Tribe—a panel of industry heavyweights Gen.T consults to aid in the selection of the list. Tribe members at the dinner included Ruth Shapiro, Emily Lam-Ho, Francis Cheng, Danny Yeung, John Wood and Chibo Tang.
During dinner, Tamara Lamunière, head of Generation T Asia, introduced guests to the Gen.T Asia Summit, a new leadership festival powered by Generation T. John Wood, founder of charity Room to Read, moved the audience with an inspiring speech, announcing that Gen.T had met the fundraising target of US$35,000 it set last year, and will be unveiling a Gen.T library in Cambodia in January 2020.
Guests were then joined by previous Gen.T honourees as well as the wider community for the afterparty and the official public unveiling of the list. Gen.T honouree Katrina Razon, the creative director of music and wellness festival Wonderfruit, was behind the decks, as the list was revealed for the first time.
