From fertility and parenting advice to pre and postpartum care, these are four companies run by Gen.T honourees that are supporting today’s time-strapped parents

Parents have a lot on their minds—not only do they have to think about their welfare, but they also have a responsibility to prioritise their children’s too. And that’s not taking into consideration the expectations of them at work. But a busy life doesn’t mean parents must do it all alone.

There are plenty of resources and networks they can turn to for help on pre- and post-natal matters, including fertility, contraception and parenting. Across Asia, some of our Gen.T honourees are helping to guide parents and lend them a hand by connecting them with a community of professionals as well as other parents, from who they can seek advice or treatment. Here are four honouree-run companies supporting busy parents.

Edamama

Helmed by 2022 Gen.T honouree, Bela Gupta D’Souza, from the Philippines, Edamama is a one-stop-online-shop for mums, aspiring mums, and kids-at-heart. It provides a diverse range of items for mum and child, from maternity wear to diapers and baby cots. The company was started by mother-of-two D’Souza in 2020 and now offers products from more than 1,000 brands on its platform.

The Asianparent

One of the largest parenting communities in Asia, The Asianparent’s website and app are used by some 35 million users every month from 13 countries. It provides a wide range of information relevant to parents, such as pregnancy and nutrition. Founder Roshni Mahtani Cheung also launched the mother and baby care brand Mama’s Choice, which provides safe, natural, and Halal-certified products that parents can use during pregnancy, nursing and for their babies.

Kindred

Kindred offers a holistic approach to well-being, focusing on women’s health. Aside from OBGYN consultations, it also provides immunisations, fitness consultations and packages for intrauterine device (IUD) insertion and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) care. Couples can also visit Kindred for advice on contraceptives, fertility and endocrinology. A registered nurse and Gen.T honouree Jessica de Mesa co-founded the company in 2021 to make high-quality reproductive care and wellness services more accessible for women in the Philippines.
