Omega Celebrates 50 Years Since The Moon Landing
Back in 1969, the Apollo 11 mission resulted in the first landing of humans on the moon. Half a century later on August 6, The Swatch Group Trading Thailand hosted a big celebration titled "Golden Moments" at One Bangkok to commemorate the anniversary of the historical event. For the occasion, Omega launched its Speedmaster Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Limited Edition, which debuted in Thailand on this night. Another major highlight of the event was the attendance of honoured NASA hero Colonel Terry Virts and Gregory Kissling, head of product management of Omega Switzerland, both of who flew in celebrate with the likes of ML Korkrita Kritakara, Paule Sirisant, Akarat Vanarat, Jay Spencer and Pawadee Isarankura. Guests were invited to capture memories of the night with a special photo booth that picturing a giant model of the lunar excursion module and were also treated to an exhibition of spectacular vintage Omega timepieces, including the Speedmaster Apollo 11 from 1999, Speedmaster Apollo-Soyuz from 2000, Speedmaster "Snoopy" from 2003 and Speedmaster Apollo 17 from 2012.
