Yamazato Welcomes Spring With Seasonal Delicacies
You don’t have to go too far for a taste of Japanese spring. The Okura Prestige Bangkok’s Yamazato—your go-to destination for Michelin Plate Japanese grub—welcomes the spring with delectable Gozen lunch platters and Kaiseki dinner menu, featuring the freshest of this season’s highlighted delicacies.
What To Expect?
The Gozen lunch platter gets you juicy sashimi slices served with a choice between two succulent options. For a fresh taste, opt for the first: firefly squid with clams, wakame seaweed, leek and miso sauce, complemented nicely by a soup with shrimp dumplings, mushrooms and aromatic canola flowers. If you prefer a heavier taste, the second platter comes with an assortment of tempura, grilled sea bass with miso citrus, simmered pork belly with taro and a sauce made especially from seasonal mountain vegetables.
Sakura stars in the Kaiseki dinner menu for an authentic taste of Japanese springtime. Start your meal with a flavourful serving of firefly squid, mussel, shrimp and mountain vegetables, topped with spicy miso vinegar. The soup is a blend of clam dumplings, mushroom and sakura blossoms with a touch of yuzu. Don’t let the light starters fool you—they’re quickly followed by grilled amberjack, simmered sea bream roe, a vermicelli noodle dish, sakura shrimp, gourd shavings and sushi roll. The dinner ends off on a sweet note with assorted fruits and fragrant sakura mochi, a seasonal classic.
Yamazato’s Spring Gozen lunch and Kaiseki dinner are available for a limited time, from today to April 22, 2018. Lunch runs from 11:30-2:30pm and is priced at 1,300++ baht. If you prefer evening vibes, dinner is between 6-10:30pm and for 4,500++ baht.
