The World’s Best Female Chef Is Mexican
The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, comprised of more than 1,000 cuisine experts who help come up with a yearly list of the world's best restaurants, is an association that celebrates culinary diversity around the globe. And as they unveil their prestigious top 10 every year, they also reveal the World’s Best Female Chef.
This year’s Best Female Chef is Daniela Soto-Innes, a Mexican chef who is famous for helming restaurants Cosme and Atla in New york City. At only 28 years old, she’s the youngest person to ever receive the honour.
Daniela has conquered international palettes with traditional Mexican flavours. Born in Mexico City, her cuisine is focused on flavourful Mexican gastronomy. The young chef also promotes gender equality in her kitchen and provides jobs to the immigrant community. She shared the news of her award by saying:
“For @cosmenyc team, for my family, for Mexico. For the badass women and for the men who support us!”
