Sri Panwa Phuket Welcomes International Stars of Japanese Cuisine for Two Nights

Critically-acclaimed Japanese restaurants Wagyumafia and Sushi Tokami, plus two masterchefs from Michelin-starred Omakase in San Fran, bring their A-game to Sri Panwa's kitchen on May 2 and 3.

It’s 2017. You don’t have to fly overseas to dine at world-class restaurants anymore. You can have them fly to you - well, almost.

At least rather than go all the way to Tokyo to nibble on Wagyumafia’s award-winning, outrageously expensive wagyu creations and taste the freshest Edomae sushi of Michelin-rated Sushi Tokami, all you have to do is head down south to Phuket on May 2 or 3. The two prestigious houses of two distinct styles of Japanese cuisine are airlifting their head chefs and ingredients to Sri Panwa Phuket to serve a special pop-up dinner for serious foodies.

Leading the dual dinner will be chef Satoshi Nagayama, whose specialty at Wagyumafia is progressive kaiseki, and chef Hiroyuki Sato of Sushi Tokami, who - to privileged diners’ added benefit - will be partnering up with another master of sushi, chef Jackson Yu. Beijing-born Yu is a culinary prodigy with 20 years of preparing traditional Edo-style sushi behind him. He is best renowned for Omakase, a Michelin-starred restaurant in San Francisco where he is currently based. So actually, we’ve underplayed this dinner; you’ll really be enjoying the expertise of three top notch Japanese restaurants in the world.

18,000 baht per person per meal is inclusive of one bottle of premium sake. Special room rates at Sri Panwa are offered with this dinner. Make reservations at chill@sripanwa.com or call 0-2637-1000. Seats are limited to 20 per night, and dinner begins at 6pm.
