Amari Presents Plant-Based Dishes For Conscious Epicures
We all know that too much meat can do more harm than good to the body, so Meatless Monday is back and we here at Thailand Tatler say it should stay. First introduced in the United States during the world wars, it was initially meant to handle food scarcity. Today, however, Meatless Monday is being revived for reasons of preserving our environment, making the campaign more important than ever.
With Jay season just passed, it is the perfect time to keep the momentum going and Amari hotels are here to help. Partnering with Green Monday, a social enterprise aiming to create healthier living while minimising environmental impact for a more sustainable and greener future, seven Amari hotels across the kingdom each created special, salivating plant-based dishes for the conscious epicure to relish.
Travelers and locals alike can now find delicious plant-based creations of Amari's talented chefs throughout the nation. Starting from the capital, Amari Watergate Bangkok presents the green vegetable curry made from locally sourced vegetables and homegrown aromatic herbs. En route to elsewhere? Amari Don Muang Airport Bangkok serves crispy taro root with Chinese plum sauce. For more western palettes, Amari Koh Samui and Amari Phuket have a risotto with spinach and vegan mozzarella cheese and homemade fettuccine with pesto, respectively. Find more delights at Amari Huahin and Amari Buriram United with dishes like grilled cauliflower with roasted shallots, mushrooms, raisins and almonds; and cabbage spring roll with garden salad and miso sauce.
